This Report offers an examination of the potential effects that climate change may have on metocean design and operating conditions, and importantly, provides actionable recommendations for how these effects can be proactively tracked and incorporated into the development of forward-looking design and operating criteria. The metocean environment - which encompasses the physical characteristics of the ocean, including waves, currents, water levels, and other key parameters - is fundamentally linked to global climate patterns and is therefore highly susceptible to the changing climate. This work represents an important step forward in helping the energy, maritime, and related sectors build resilience and ensure the long-term viability of their critical infrastructure in the face of these changes.
