This Report introduces an industry-wide, foundational framework for digital data platforms and the reference data architecture required to enable digital transformation across the oil and gas industry. This Report addresses the importance of reference data architecture in the oil and gas industry, focusing on challenges like operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and sustainability. It seeks to promote collaboration, standardization, and strategic planning across the industry, emphasizing the foundational role of reference data architecture in achieving digital transformation and addressing current interoperability challenges. This Report was matured in the context of the five key focus areas (KFAs) of the Digital Transformation Committee: Safety, Energy Transition and Environmental, Operations, Maintenance and Reliability, and Projects. These KFAs did not include any subsurface scope in the current version.
